This project is a fork of "dynamic_workspaces" by Nikita Sorokovikov (2019),
licensed under the BSD 3‑Clause License.

A non‑exhaustive list of specific changes includes:

- Major rewrite of the compatibility layer to target Plasma 6 exclusively
- Removal of all Plasma 5 logic, legacy APIs, and dual‑mode behavior
- Introduction of a GNOME‑style dynamic workspace model
- Automatic removal of all empty desktops except the last
- Complete desktop renumbering system to maintain sequential ordering
- Replacement of the original window‑shifting algorithm with simplified reassignment logic
- New startup initialization logic enforcing GNOME workspace semantics
- New startup redirection to ensure consistent initial desktop behavior
- Rewritten event‑handling system for window addition, removal, and desktop changes
- New cleanup system triggered on window removal, desktop switch, and client movement
- Simplified and modernized desktop deletion logic
